"Most of my jewelry comes to life first in my mind as three dimensional large-scale sculptures. My imagination creates not only the forms but also the space that this sculpture lives in, the play of light and shadow within this space,  the movement that is created within this space by this form, even the music or sounds that can be heard in the background… I first fell in love with jewelry making as a form of expression for my creativity because it allowed these forms to come to life in a smaller scale. As I carved my first pieces of wax, I realized that I enjoyed the engaging proximity that this precious scale offered me. As an artist, jewelry making has become a nurturing process to free my imagination. As a gallery owner, one of the most rewarding parts of this process has been sharing these pieces with those around me."
